Dear JKA/WF America Regional Member,
In order to start off our new organization with accurate records of all of our higher ranking Dan members, we are asking that each region obtain from your members a copy of their most recent Dan certificate and Qualification card. This includes 4th Dan through 6th Dan members. Please be sure members send a copy of their actual certificate. (reduced to standard size paper is preferred) Please have members submit two copies of everything to your regional office by March 15, 2008. Regional offices please keep one copy for your records and send the other copies to the administrative office by April 1, 2008
If their qualification was obtained from an organization that is no longer affiliated with JKA, members must renew their qualification by April 12, 2008. They must renew by April 12th to give enough time to get their passports stamped with the appropriate signatures at the June 2008 National Camp. Renewals are registered with Japan and are valid for three years. Renewal fee is $80 per qualification.
At the January meeting in Las Vegas, NV it was decided that members who do not have their qualification renewal accepted and processed by June 1, 2008 will lose their qualification. In order to be processed by June 1, 2008, members must have all paperwork and payment submitted by April 12, 2008.
In addition, those members who recently passed a Qualification exam must send their registration fees to their region as soon as possible if they have not already. This includes those members who tested for new qualifications in November 2007. If you have members from your region that tested in November, please contact them and ask them to submit the registration form and appropriate payment by March 15, 2008. Regional offices please keep a copy for your records and send originals to the JKA/WF administrative office along with payment to be processed and sent to Japan.

Please send all paperwork and corresponding payments in one organized packet per region. Since JKA/WF America has no paid employees, it is imperative that each region do their part to keep records organized.
